Associations Game

Divide 40 stiff cardboard tiles, each about 3.5 inches square, into pairs--a rake and leaves, a bird and a nest, a hot dog and ketchup, etc.--spread all the tiles on the floor or a table, and see how quickly you can match them up. For competitive play, scramble the pieces and put them face down in a stack, then draw one per turn and discard face up if there's no match currently available. You can also use the set as a memory game, placing all the tiles face down, turning them over in pairs, and turning them face down again if they don't match.
