Made of alloy steel and hardened to HRc 58 all critical surface is precision ground. The R8 drive slot is precision mill finished to give a tight fit into the R8 spindle. The internal set screw is included and can be used as a stopping pin to prevent the end mill or drill from sliding backward while performing heavy cutting. Concentricity is less than .0002 at the collet face. ER collet nut is nickel plated to improve rust resistance than black oxide finished collet nut.
