Macaroons are a scrumptious dessert but they can be difficult to make because they are sensitive to heat, allowing them to easily become burnt. Sasa DeMarle designed this Macaroons Silpat to help distribute heat evenly. Silpats keep macaroons round and plump, insuring your cookies do not only taste delicious but have a scrumptious appearance! When using a silpat the cookies bottom often lifts off the silpat and hug the top of the shell, making a small hollow under the cookie. This allows macaroons to be removed easily and they won't break between the cookies insides and the top of the shell. Sasa Demarles Silpat bakes 40 - 2" macaroons. The Silpat measures 16.5" x 24.5", a great size for making large batches of macaroons at once.
